You know this is just weird. The news tells us it will be sunny and - gulp - 82 for Christmas. That is just unheard of in all my - cough cough - years. Florida is thankfully so much nicer than Ohio. I do kinda miss the softer grass, as does Sam, but that is the only thing. Anyway, that was not to rub our luck into anyone less fortunate in colder weather, but it is just so weird.

And Christmas is only three days away. ?? When did that happen?

We probably don't realize it as we're really having no celebrating again, but we have gotten many a card from our wonderful flisters - will post proper thank you's later :) In the mean time, if anyone needs help hanging last minute holiday lights, I'll help you. Free o' charge...

* * HAPPY Thanksgiving * *

Toady felt like Christmas all day, as this was my last official working day. I was all smiles all day, when I wasn't coughing. As I walked out the door I turned in my paper work and handed my boss my two week notice. I have the rest of this week and all of next week for vacation, already approved.

To say the least he was shocked, but offered a reference if I need one "You are always a good worker, feel free to use my name." He is a nice boss, the head guys are the ass hats.

What a feeling of calm :)

Now to finish packing and we leave on Saturday for sunny weather and a new home.

It has been ages, and I'd have to find my calendar from last year to find the exact day, but suffice it to say it's been ages since I got Over Time. Especially a Saturday. Not that I wanted to go in yesterday but it will be nice on payday. At least the arse holes who repeatedly fuck with me, weren't there. So it was a semi relaxing day. I got to speak with formerly known as - Evilantiesnape and thrihyrne.

In other news, the slash_weasley has had a fantastic first week of posting. There is enough fics and art to be posted for an entire month ( Mon - Fri ).

My Grandfather was a Sailor in the Korean War.



My Dad and my Father were both in Vietnam. Neither will talk about it.

Heard this on the news yesterday. And I just don't know why they don't simply make us all indentured servant. That way they can have all the money, all the houses and all they'll have to do is give us a one room shack and a chamber pot.


Here be the latest way to stick it to us further, in Ohio.



I did the math, and being there are roughly 260 working days a year ( Mon - Fri )

- I drive a total of 80 miles to and from work Mon - Fri

- If they use .25 per mile ( a figure I heard second hand )

- I would have to pay the Ohio government $ 5, 200 a year just to work at my current job, using their roads.

- How will they know? They will put a GPS in everyone's car.

This seems a bit invasive to me ( outrage against the extortion of the tax aside ). Would this also open up the legal system to sending out speeding citations from evidence recorded on said GPS? Not to mention, they'll have a record of every where we go. Not that me going to the quicky mart is all that private, but it's still none of their damned business.

Is the $ 110-120 it costs for a tiny sticker each year, not enough for them? Or the rising gas prices. The people exploring this idea don't pay for their gas, we do. We pay for their cars, so naturally they'll never know what the average ever day person will go through.

I know I shouldn't dwell on things like this, and as it's not a done deal only the studying stage, but it just pisses me off. Where the bloody hell do they intend for us to find this extra money when we don't have it now? If I had an extra $ 5,000 a year, I'd pay off some bills.

I heard this on the country station as I was coming home from work. I understand their thought behind it, but really this is going over the top.

Not everyone can afford to buy school lunches, and for families that are vegan / vegetarian / Jewish / Spanish, etc. some are quite strict ( and that is not meant to be a slam, anyone who knows me should know this. I had an uncle who's family were strict Orthodox Jewish - and they made awesome food ). So now the school board will now override your morals / ethics / and believes?

I think I would have to tell them where they could put their new rules.

Is it my simply my rebellious nature, or am I completely off base?

Really weird thing happened this morning. As many of you know I have a Yahoo email, and use the 'Chat' link instead of the proper YIM. I get those little yellow tabs saying so and so would like to chat with you, accept or decline.

So I got this one a couple weeks back and didn't recognize the name so I just closed it. However it pops up every time I log into Yahoo. Even though I didn't get an email from a flister saying - hey that's me, I accepted just to stop the annoying yellow tab. I'll chat with the person a bit and perhaps they will be friendly.

Today I logged on and this person pinged me, asking if I were there. I said yes, ( I closed it so I can't do word for word, dammet ). Then she said she wasn't into exchanging pictures, but if I went to this website we could see each other face to face.

Erm...I don't do pictures, if you're a flister I will show you my scary mug, but this seemed a bit creepy.

Then she said I'd have to go through an age verification, ..."cuz I'm not showing my pussy to a minor..."

Excuse me? I answered back, "Thanks, but I'm not really into that."

She stopped chatting.

I mean really. She clearly is not on my flist as she wanted me to see her female organ. Perhaps if she were a he, but I'm not sending a pic of my Jr. to anyone. Is it me getting over the hill that I didn't realize people just up and show their business to everyone on the net, so long as they have an interesting yahoo name? And not even on a porn site. If it were a porn site, hey I completely understand that, but my email?

Did I say, she found me through a search on yahoo. Anyway, that was just weird.

- As mentioned above, we are both. Mouse - our energetic kitten, and Sam and Dean the dogs.

- If I do change my name, it will be too - Kosh Winchester. Though I've shared my name with an absolutely awesome drummer, I mostly go by Kosh these days anyway.

- black socks for me, and thermal socks for Wolfie.

- Supernatural, and I guess the actor would be - Jensen Ackles.

- Hmmm, this is a toss up between three. Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, Zero at the Bone, and The Graveyard Book. I've read these books the most, and more than five times.



12. What are you doing this weekend?

- Not much with all this snow


13. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?

- Bass Guitar?

- Doing okay, waking up with my second cup of coffee. Mmmm, coffee
